Welcome to Pryor Public Schools!

Expect Excellence!

Greetings,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Pryor Public Schools. Pryor is a wonderful community with something to offer for just about everyone. Our school district enjoys strong support from the Pryor community and a high level of parental involvement in every area of our school.

Our district includes three elementary schools, a traditional junior high school and a high school with facilities that include: The Burdick Center, a remodeled vocational agriculture building with a greenhouse, auditorium, football stadium, track, baseball field, and softball field. We are currently serving 2550 students in grades Pre-K-12.

Our staff is a well-experienced group of educators with a resume of successful years of teaching and learning. They continually show a level of commitment and care about our students’ learning. Our district continues to strive toward building a professional learning community, where teachers hold high expectations and refuse to allow students to fail.

We have integrated technology into each of our schools and continue to strive to equip our students and teachers with technology to meet their needs. Each school site has modern computer labs and each of our teachers have at least one computer in their classroom. We have placed interactive white boards throughout our classrooms as an additional teaching aid. Teachers are provided technology professional development through a partnership with the Eighth Floor Technology Training Center.

Our students consistently score above the state average on the state-mandated tests, and all of our school sites have continually reached the required performance targets to make adequate yearly progress. Two of our elementary schools have been recognized as national “Blue Ribbon Schools”.

We are proud of the many opportunities we have for our students. Pryor High School enjoys one of the strongest fine art departments in Oklahoma. The award winning instrumental and vocal music programs are well respected across the state.   A number of opportunities also exist for all students to participate including FFA, FCCLA, student government, academic teams and honor classes in most academic subjects. A variety of sports including baseball, basketball, football, wrestling, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, swimming and track are also part of our school programs

Welcome to Pryor! Home of the Tigers!
