Thomas J. Harrison
Founder and Benefactor of our library in 1939. The City Council voted to rename our library "Thomas J. Harrison Pryor Public Library" in tribute of this man's vision for the City of Pryor's library and to show appreciation for the contribution of individuals and families of our community who have the tenacity and conviction to bring a "vision" to fruition.
Mr. Harrison served as the mayor of Pryor Creek, OK from 1921-1931 and from 1937-1943. Before becoming mayor he was the city treasurer from 1907-1911. Mr. Harrison's Presidential signature collection resides with this library. His bible collection was considered one of great significance. To learn more about Thomas J.
